Homemade 3 Ingredient Strawberry Jam!

Homemade strawberry jam
Hey guys it’s me Tricia! I’m sorry I’ve been gone for so long, but with this Covid-19 going on through the year, I just wasn’t really feeling doing any blogging. For that I apologize. So, to kick off the summer and start blogging and sharing life events again with you guys, I’m gonna give you this really simple recipe for strawberry jam.

Just let me tell you, this recipe is so easy to make and it only takes 3 ingredients. Chances are if you have strawberries in your house, you can already make this. It’s so simple to make and it only takes, like, 30 minutes altogether. Then, of course, you have the time for it to cool down and actually turn into the sticky jam that we all love.

Short And Sweet

So without further ado, here is the recipe. This article is gonna be short and sweet … because honestly 3 ingredients!! 3 ingredients and there’s tons of pictures. I hope that you guys really enjoy it. Thank you for viewing, and stay tuned. I have another article coming up soon and hopefully I’ll be able to make a video for you guys this week as well!

3 Ingredient Strawberry Jam (no pectin required!)

  • 1 pound of strawberries
  • 1 1/2 cups of sugar
  • 2 tablespoons of lemon
  • 3 lemon zest

The 1st step is to wash your strawberries. If you want to do the salting of the strawberries in water (like the TikTok videos) that is also an option. Not necessary, though.

Step 2

2nd step is to slice the green tops off your strawberries and hull your strawberries. After that, cut up your berries and then place them into a saucepan. Once in a saucepan, pour in the sugar. Bring your strawberries and sugar to a boil. Do not  I repeat, do not add any liquid into your strawberries! It’s already going to liquefy from the natural juice of the strawberries; it will come to a boil. Just make sure that you stir regularly so that nothing burns at the bottom. When your mixture starts boiling, you add in the 2 tablespoons of lemon juice.

Step 3

Once your strawberry and sugar mixture starts boiling, let it boil down for about 15 minutes or until you reach 220゚ for your boiling temperature.  After your 15 minutes is up, you take the mixture off of the heat and let it cool down a little bit. I personally let it cool for about 10 minutes and then I pour it into my sterile jars so that I can store it for later use.

All Done!

Let your jam thoroughly and completely cool before you place it in the refrigerator. The keep time for this is up to 2 weeks, but I don’t think it’ll last long because this is a small batch. I say that this batch will actually make 2 small containers of jam. And there you have it. Super easy & only 3 ingredients! Let me know if you try it and let me know what you think of this recipe. If you want to see more like this, leave comments stating so,please! Thanks for reading I’ll talk to you guys soon … bye!!
